Italian coach Eusebio Di Francesco has been appointed as the head coach of the "Lecce" team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
A contract was signed with the specialist that will be in effect until the summer of 2026. If he succeeds in keeping the team in the top leagues of Italian football, the contract will be automatically extended.
Last season, Di Francesco managed the "Venezia" club. Unfortunately, the team could not remain in Serie A, finishing in 19th place and being relegated to Serie B.
"Lecce" also fought to stay in the top league and secured 17th place in the standings. Previously, the head coach position of "Lecce" was held by Marco Giampaolo.
His departure from the team was announced two weeks ago. Di Francesco has mainly managed teams within Italy during his coaching career, including clubs like "Sassuolo," "Roma," and "Sampdoria."
His experience and approach raise hopes for a new era for "Lecce." The club will strive to strengthen its position in the top league under the leadership of the new coach.
