Russian defender Georgiy Jikia is close to moving to the Turkish club "Antalyaspor". This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Football expert Vladislav Radimov shared his thoughts on the 31-year-old player. He supported Jikia's desire to test himself in Turkey on the "Match TV" channel and called it one of the interesting steps in his life.
At the same time, he emphasized that such an experience would be very beneficial for him. Last season, Jikia played for the "Khimki" club near Moscow. He appeared in a total of 17 matches across all tournaments but did not manage to score a goal.
Unfortunately, "Khimki" did not obtain a license for the next season of the Russian Premier League and decided to cease operations. Therefore, the player's transfer to a new team is being viewed as a natural process.
Playing for "Antalyaspor" presents a great opportunity for Georgiy Jikia, allowing him to test himself in a new environment. This move will open a new chapter in his football career.
