Laporta and former coaches testify in the Negreira case
Barselona president Joan Laporta and the club's former head coaches Luis Enrique and Ernesto Valverde will be summoned as witnesses in the investigation into illegal payments made to former RFEF referees technical committee vice-president Jose Negreira. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

The prosecution considers their testimonies to be of significant importance in determining the details of the club's potential connections with Negreira. The date of the hearing will be set later. Earlier, former Barselona presidents Sandro Rosell and Josep Maria Bartomeu were also questioned as witnesses in the investigation, and they are currently participating as defendants.
According to the investigation, from 2001 to 2018, Negreira received approximately 7.5 million euros from the club for consultancy services. Although the court temporarily suspended the bribery charges in May 2024, the investigation process is ongoing.
In this case, the statements and facts from all parties are being thoroughly examined. The process will remain under control until the investigation is concluded.
