Marseille's midfielder Azzedin Unai responded to Spartak's offer. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to the Greek publication Gazzetta, the 25-year-old Moroccan player rejected the move to Russia. Unai communicated his decision to the management of the Provence club. Unai informed the leaders of the French Ligue 1 club that he wants to move to Panathinaikos, where he played on loan last season.
At the same time, although Marseille prefers to negotiate with Spartak for the sale of the player, the financial offer from the Moscow club was not suitable. However, Azzedin has firmly decided to go to Greece, as he feels he would be a key player there.
An important aspect for Unai is to have a leading role in the game and feel comfortable. For this reason, he currently wishes to continue the season in Greece.
The Marseille team is trying to change the agreement with the player, but Unai is not changing his mind. This situation requires further negotiations between the club and the player.
Unai will need time to come to a clear decision on how to continue his career in the future, and his wishes will be taken into account first.
