Andrey Arshavin, a member of the Zenit club's management board, shared his thoughts on the club's goals in the summer transfer market. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, Zenit needs to add possibly two and a half defenders and one forward player. Arshavin stated that if Vendel leaves the team, Zenit will need to bring in two midfielders and a central forward. Currently, there is no additional information on this matter. Vendel was supposed to move to Botafogo at the beginning of June, but the transfer did not happen.
He played for Zenit for five seasons. In the last season, Zenit finished second in the Russian championship. The team, led by Sergey Semak, collected only one point less than Krasnodar.
The club's actions in the summer transfer market aim to strengthen the team. Zenit fans are looking forward to even more successful games in the upcoming season.
