Football expert Vladimir Sochnov shared his thoughts on the latest news from the "Spartak" team in an exclusive interview with the online publication "Evro-Futbol.uz". This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Recently, a friendly match was held between the "Spartak" and "Torpedo" teams. Under the leadership of head coach Stankovich, "Spartak" won 3:1.
However, the newly promoted team "Torpedo" also managed to score a goal. What does this situation indicate?
According to Sochnov, it is too early to draw definitive conclusions about the team's results. "Spartak" is known for its inconsistent performances, as they can concede five goals and still score that many.
The season has not yet started, and the team is preparing. This period is crucial for experimenting with the lineup and shaping the team.
Despite being a newly arrived team, "Torpedo" can prove its strength. They might even defeat "Zenit".
This is also a historically significant club. "Spartak" is negotiating with midfielder Unai and is ready to pay 12 million euros for him. There are questions about whether such an expensive player is really needed in the team.
Sochnov emphasizes the need to be cautious when purchasing expensive players. "Spartak" has previously bought such players, which later led to a decline in the team's performance.
Only qualified and proven players should be acquired. Price does not always equate to quality.
Additionally, it is important to integrate the new player into the team. He must adapt to playing with his teammates, as even Messi does not achieve immediate success in any team. There are reports in the media about Abena being close to moving to "Gaziantеп".
Is it right to sell this player? According to the expert, if a player is not regularly on the field, he is not needed in the team.
It makes no sense to keep him for passing during training. Agent Chernov has indicated that the player has offers from other clubs.
Does "Spartak" need him? Sochnov believes that if Stankovich does not see him in the team after the preparation processes, it would be better for the player to leave for another place.
Gaining playing practice is very important. Sitting on the bench at "Spartak" harms the player's development.
There are few good Russian players, and it is not advisable to let them sit on the bench. Newly arrived RPL clubs want to strengthen, and moving to one of them, like "Torpedo", is possible. Sochnov also answered the question of whether Zorin and Zinkovskiy, who returned from loan, are necessary players for "Spartak".
If the coaches find them useful, they will stay in the team. They are currently undergoing trials in this preparation phase.
If they demonstrate their high-level potential, they will remain in the team. Otherwise, sitting on the bench is detrimental to the player.
Time is passing, and they should not miss the opportunity to play. The interview was conducted by Elena Grigorievskaya.
