Aleksandr Shikunov, a specialist known as the sports director of the former capital's "Spartak" team, commented on Sergey Yuran's new job. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
He shared his thoughts on the national specialist's activities and chosen path. Yuran recently started working as the head coach of the Turkish club "Serik Belediyespor."
This club won the Turkish second league and was promoted to the higher league level. Shikunov expressed that he could not understand this decision and was surprised that no one in Russia had hired Yuran.
He talked about Yuran's move to Tufan Sadygov's club in Turkey and emphasized that there had been much discussion about the "Khimki" team for six months. Yuran's last job was with the "Pari NN" club in Nizhny Novgorod, where he left in April due to poor results.
In Shikunov's opinion, Yuran needs to reassess his activities in the current situation. He emphasized the importance of proving himself in the new team.
This event is seen as a new stage in Yuran's coaching career.
