Valery Karpin, the head coach of the Russian national team and Moscow "Dynamo," shared his thoughts about Leonid Fedun, the former owner of Moscow "Spartak." This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
In an interview with "RBK Sport," Karpin said: "Despite the time that has passed, I still do not understand Fedun better. He remains a puzzle to me."
For reference, Karpin was the head coach of the "red-white" team during Fedun's era from 2009 to 2012. Last month, the 56-year-old specialist was appointed as the head coach of Moscow "Dynamo."
He signed a three-year labor contract with the "white-blue" team. Last season, the Moscow team ranked fifth in the Russian Premier League standings.
Karpin also emphasized that he aims to achieve good results with his new team. At the same time, he mentioned the necessity of being prepared for complex situations in the professional field.
His experience in overcoming difficulties with teams during his coaching career is of great importance. This is considered a crucial factor for future successes.
