French midfielder Paul Pogba explained why he shed tears when signing a contract with AS Monaco. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The player cried before signing the contract. "You rarely see me crying, so I hope it affected you.
A lot of images came to my mind. We know the story related to doping, my injury... all of this came to my mind at the moment of signing the contract, and I couldn't control my emotions," the player's words are quoted by Get French Football News.
He also stated that these tears were of joy and that at that moment it was a very important event in his life. It is worth noting that the club signed a two-year contract with Pogba.
The French player has not played since 2023, as he was disqualified for 18 months for violating anti-doping rules. His last club was Juventus of Turin.
