The Italian team "Brescia" was unable to obtain a license to participate in professional competitions for the 2025/2026 season. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
This was announced by the press service of the Italian Football Federation. As a result, the club lost its professional status and will only have the right to play in amateur leagues.
"Brescia" was deprived of the right to participate in the Serie C tournament because it did not meet the necessary licensing requirements. The main reason is the club's inability to provide financial guarantees, as well as the existing debts to players and staff.
The club was even unable to pay the entry fee to participate in the Serie C championship. "Brescia" was founded in 1911, and throughout its history, many famous players have represented it.
Among them are names like Josep Guardiola, who is now the head coach of "Manchester City," Igli Tare, the director of "Milan," world champion Andrea Pirlo, as well as Roberto Baggio and Mario Balotelli. These players hold significant places in the club's history.
Currently, with the suspension of the team's professional activities, questions arise about the direction in which its future will continue.
