Former "Spartak" team head coach Igor Ledyahov expressed his thoughts on the "red-white" team's left-back Daniil Denisov. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to Ledyahov, the "Spartak" team began searching for a right-back at the request of the coaching staff. The specialist is not surprised by this situation, as there are issues with the team's wing defenders.
Ledyahov stated that there were questions about Denisov last season. He even joked that he scored unfortunate goals against his own team.
Additionally, it was mentioned that the player needs competition within the team. Last season, the 22-year-old Denisov played in 36 matches across all tournaments and made three assists.
The specialist believes that the lack of wing defenders in the team's defense line is affecting the overall performance of the team. For this reason, "Spartak" has started looking for new defenders.
