Yesterday, April 11 at 21:53 a fire broke out in a Changan car traveling from Tashkent towards the valley in the area of Qamchiq pass on the A-373 Tashkent–Osh highway.
The electric scooter charger caused the fire
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the fire was caused by a short circuit in the electric scooter charger located in the car's cargo area.
The Qamchiq special search and fire-rescue department has been notified about the incident.
Contained in 2 minutes, extinguished in 3 minutes
At 22:09, two fire-rescue crews arrived at the scene. The fire was contained at 22:11 and completely extinguished at 22:12.
The passenger compartment and cargo area of the car were damaged. However, as a result of prompt actions, 9 out of 18 bicycles and 1 out of 4 electric scooters in the cargo area were saved.
No injuries reported
As a result of the incident, there were no injuries or fatalities. Investigations are ongoing by officials.
