Veteran "Dinamo" football player Aleksandr Tochilin expressed his thoughts in an exclusive interview regarding the delay in striker Ivan Sergeev's transfer to "Dinamo". This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, there is information that the "Zenit" management is trying to persuade Ivan to move to "Spartak". Such a situation can happen in our football, but the important aspect is the player's own position and how firm he is.
Tochilin does not understand why Sergeev wrote a letter stating that he is only willing to transfer to "Dinamo" and does not want to move to "Spartak". In his opinion, Sergeev specifically wants to transfer to "Dinamo" because he hopes to elevate his game to a higher level under coach Karpin there.
This is considered his main motivation. The striker is a versatile player, and if his abilities are utilized correctly, he can fit into any team.
This is evidenced by his performances at "Krylya Sovetov", "Torpedo", and "Zenit". He will continue to grow at "Dinamo" and can improve his game.
There is also a possibility of him playing at "Spartak" since he possesses the necessary skills for a striker. Tochilin believes that if Sergeev transfers to "Dinamo", he will become the main striker of the team.
Konstantin Tyukavin is recovering from injury, while Yaroslav Gladyshev has started playing last season. Mumini Ngamale and El-Mehdi Mauxub have limited playing experience.
Gladyshev is used more as a winger, so he could have a good connection with Sergeev. Once Tyukavin recovers, there is a high probability that they will benefit the team in their competition.
The prolonged nature of the striker's transfer should be concerning for both Sergeev and "Dinamo". The club is unable to formalize the player they want, and currently, this position remains vacant.
"Zenit" may consider "Dinamo" a stronger rival than "Spartak". This could be a reason making the transfer difficult.
When Sergeev will play for which team remains unknown due to the peculiar nature of football. Most importantly, the desires of the player and "Dinamo" in this regard are taken into account.
All of this ultimately determines his transfer, but we will see the result later. Interviewed by: Yelena Grigoryevskaya.
