The representative of the coaching staff of St. Petersburg's "Zenit" team, Anatoly Timoshuk, shared his thoughts on the pre-season training process. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, the players have entered the field in good condition. Currently, the main training sessions are being held twice a day.
There are mainly a lot of running exercises, but working with the ball is also not neglected. So far, many tactical exercises have been performed.
In practice, almost all players have been given the opportunity to take the field during the planned games. The "Zenit" team has already played two friendly matches.
One of them was against the Serbian club "Crvena Zvezda," and the other took place with the "Dinamo" team from Makhachkala. In both matches, "Zenit" emerged victorious.
In the first game, they defeated their opponents 3:0, and in the second, they won 2:0. On July 6, the team, led by Sergey Semak, will take the field against the "Baltika" team in Kaliningrad.
This game will also be an important test within the framework of pre-season training. The team is expecting more friendly matches and competitions, which will help improve the players' physical and tactical preparation.
