Stoke City announced the transfer of Ukrainian national team defender Maksim Taloverov on its official website. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
“The Potters” signed a three-year labor contract with Maksim Taloverov. The transfer fee for the 25-year-old player was not disclosed by Stoke City.
However, there are reports in the press that the Potters paid 2 million euros. Maksim Taloverov has been active in England since January, playing for Plymouth.
In the spring, the team was relegated from the Championship to League 1. Stoke City finished the championship in 18th place and will participate in England's second-tier football division in the new season.
It should be noted that Maksim Taloverov was born in Nalchik, Russia. His father played for the local Spartak team at that time.
This indicates the player's connection to football through family traditions. Now, Taloverov aims to prove himself in his new team and aspires to reach a higher level in the future.
