Ivan Markelov joined the Chayka team

37-year-old forward Ivan Markelov will join the Chayka team from the city of Peschanokopska. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

Journalist Sergey Il’yov announced this on his personal Telegram channel. Markelov's last club was Leningradets from Saint Petersburg.

Throughout his career, he has played for teams such as Amkar from Perm, Anzhi from Makhachkala, Orenburg, Dynamo from Moscow, and Kyzyl Zhar from Kazakhstan. He has also played for several other clubs.

This Thursday, Russian young coach Dmitriy Kombarov was appointed as the head coach of the Chayka team. He previously managed Spartak-2 and signed a one-year contract with Chayka.

Last season, Chayka finished in 13th place in the Russian second division. This news is significant for the team's future activities and development.

Markelov's joining the team and working with the new coach will create new opportunities for Chayka.
