Tata Technologies confirmed that 1.4 terabytes of data were stolen by hackers, according to Pepelac News. This cyberattack was carried out by the Hunters International group, resulting in over 730,000 documents leaking onto the internet.
This attack caused some of the company's services to temporarily go offline. The hackers published the stolen data on the darknet, which includes employees' personal information, contracts with clients, purchase orders, and other confidential documents.
Tata Technologies reported this incident to the Indian stock market in January, but emphasized that the customer service process was not affected. Hunters International was established at the end of 2023 and specializes in attacking companies and extorting money.
This cyberattack once again demonstrates the serious threat posed to global companies and the need to strengthen cybersecurity measures.
