Apple is facing difficulties in implementing the blood pressure monitoring feature for Apple Watch, according to Pepelac.news. This was reported by Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman in the Power On newsletter.
The company has been working on this feature since January 2022, but has not yet been able to effectively integrate it into the device. According to Gurman, the initial version of the feature did not yield accurate results, which is why Apple was working on its improvement.
Initially, this feature was expected to appear in the Apple Watch Series 10 models, but that did not happen. According to the latest information, the feature was supposed to monitor changes in the user's blood pressure and send alerts when signs of hypertension were detected. After receiving this alert, the user could consult a doctor.
In December 2024, Gurman stated that Apple had actively started working on this feature and that it could appear in 2025. However, according to recent reports, this timeline is no longer close to reality.
