Number of Starlink users doubled within a year

The number of users of the Starlink satellite communication operator, owned by Elon Musk's SpaceX, has increased significantly. Zamin.uz reports.
According to Apptopia analysts, the number of service users and mobile app downloads has more than doubled compared to the first quarter of last year. It was noted that such a positive growth trend has been observed for four consecutive quarters.
The expansion of the service is being carried out in the markets of both developed and developing countries. In particular, the Brazilian market showed very large growth, increasing its active user base fivefold.
Currently, representatives of this country account for 13 percent of all subscribers. In Argentina, the number of users also increased by 159 percent.
In the United States, app downloads reached a record level in the first quarter, totaling 1.2 million. This figure is three times higher than last year's results.
This sharp growth coincides with the period when SpaceX is preparing for a public sale of shares. Financial analysts and investors consider the Starlink project to be the main factor increasing the company's overall value.
SpaceX is currently valued at approximately 1.75 trillion dollars. According to expert calculations, the communication operator's total revenue last year amounted to 11.4 billion dollars.
According to data from February of this year, the total number of subscribers exceeded 10 million. Therefore, investors speculate that in the next stage of SpaceX's development, there may be plans to establish special data centers in space.
This will allow for further increasing internet connection speeds and improving the quality of service in the future.
