TikTok launches hotel booking service

TikTok is ceasing to be just a social network giant and is evolving into a comprehensive digital ecosystem. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The video platform has been integrating online shopping, local search systems, digital maps, interactive games, and many other useful functions. Now, the company has launched a hotel booking service and has begun the process of obtaining a license in the field of financial technologies.

These steps signify TikTok's strategy to become a universal application that gathers all digital needs in one place, similar to the WeChat app in China. This is reported by foreign information sources, including the Techcrunch publication.

The recently launched TikTok GO service in the United States allows users to find and book hotels and tourist destinations directly within the app. Previously, users had to watch videos about interesting sites and then switch to other platforms, but now TikTok is consolidating the entire process.

This is turning the platform into a serious competitor not only to social networks but also to the Google search engine and digital map services. Furthermore, TikTok is actively entering the financial market.

According to the Reuters agency, the company has applied to the Central Bank of Brazil to operate as a technological company engaged in payment services and lending activities. The expected licenses will provide users with the ability to store money, make transfers, and even obtain loans.

This transformation of TikTok is aimed at increasing the time users spend within the app and creating new sources of income. The company aims to move beyond being just an entertainment content platform and become a single digital destination combining e-commerce, tourism, and finance.

This process demonstrates the growing demand for convenience and speed in the digital world. For users, this provides the opportunity to access all necessary services through a single application.

Let's follow along to see what surprises TikTok will bring in the future.
