Cloudflare introduces new rules for artificial intelligence bots
Cloudflare, recognized as one of the leading organizations in the field of internet security and network infrastructure, has announced the implementation of new and strict regulations for the field of artificial intelligence. Zamin.uz reported this.

This initiative is aimed at protecting the intellectual property rights of website owners and seeks to clearly distinguish between search engines and artificial intelligence bots. According to experts, this step could fundamentally change the data exchange system worldwide.

This was reported by reputable technology publications. According to the information provided by the company, the new security settings will come into effect in September 2026.

According to these regulations, mixed-type software used for both search and artificial intelligence training purposes will automatically be restricted from accessing pages with advertisements. This means that large technology corporations like Google will have to divide their automatic systems into two separate functions.

The first type of systems should only form traditional search results, while the second should deal with training artificial intelligence models. Currently, many publishers and site owners are against using this information for free artificial intelligence training, even though they want their materials to appear in search engines.

Cloudflare's leadership today pointed out that more than half of the general flow on the internet is not made up of people, but specifically of robotized systems. Therefore, it became necessary to take swift measures to ensure fair competition in the digital environment and protect copyright.

Cloudflare criticized the world's largest search engines and noted their advantage in data collection. Site owners may be forced to allow their data to be used for artificial intelligence training in order not to miss out on search results.

The company not only offers restrictions but also a new economic model for publishers. It is expected that a system will be introduced where publishers can receive payment for each use of their content by artificial intelligence.

These new rules apply to all new clients of the company and websites using free services. Such changes may encourage large technology giants to directly sign contracts with publishers for quality data.

This news is also of great importance for Uzbek content creators and mass media, as most local sites use exactly these platform services. This will help strengthen control over the absorption of information in the Uzbek language in the future.
