Panic attacks are one of the most unpleasant situations. An uncontrollable feeling of fear and anxiety can arise anywhere.
Preventive medicine doctor Natalya Zubareva believes that such problems can be prevented by changing your diet.
According to the specialist, people suffering from panic disorders are very sensitive to caffeine, so it is better for them not to consume more than one cup of coffee or tea a day.
You should also eliminate processed foods from your diet, referring to fast food, baked goods, and sweets. This way, it will be possible to normalize the sugar level in the blood, the expert emphasized.
Your daily menu should include foods rich in antioxidants, B vitamins, and magnesium. All these elements have a beneficial effect on the state of the nervous system.
Additionally, as Natalya Zubareva pointed out, it is important to monitor the balance of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. They also help normalize the functioning of the nervous system and even strengthen the immune system.
There are two more factors that can trigger panic attacks, the doctor added on her Telegram channel. These are alcohol and stress. The doctor advised to refrain from alcoholic beverages and to sleep at least 7 hours a day.
