Uzbekistan and Russia have reached an important agreement to expand cooperation in the aviation sector. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to this agreement, airlines from both countries are allowed to operate a total of over 1000 flights per week. This will significantly increase the number of flights and facilitate the opening of new routes.
By the end of July this year, the number of regular flights will amount to 310 per week. Airlines from both sides can perform 50 flights each per week on the Tashkent and Moscow route.
Additionally, there will be 23 flights per week between Samarkand and Moscow, and 10 flights per week on the Termez and Moscow route. Furthermore, there will be 14 flights per week from Tashkent to St. Petersburg, Krasnoyarsk, and Sochi.
For Russian airlines, the right to operate 7 flights per week to all international airports in Uzbekistan from 80 international airports has been granted. Uzbek airlines have also gained the opportunity to operate flights at 29 major airports in Russia.
This agreement aims to further strengthen aviation relations between the two countries and provide convenience for passengers. The increase in the number of flights is expected to have a positive impact on the economy and tourism sectors.
