Starting from February 1, 2025, the 'Mother's Home' service will be launched in Uzbekistan. This was stipulated in the presidential decree No. PF-185 adopted on November 14, 2024.
The 'Mother's Home' service will be established in children's homes for mothers who want to give up raising their children due to difficult life situations and lack of support from close relatives, including pregnant women.
In the 'Mother's Home':
- Mothers in difficult life situations and their children (under 4 years old) will be provided temporary shelter for up to 1 year based on a social contract;
- Mothers in difficult life situations will receive social, legal, psychological, and medical services, and maternal and professional skills will be developed;
- The 'Human' social service centers will assist mothers in difficult life situations in acquiring professions and ensuring their employment.
