
Systematic reforms aimed at developing a healthy lifestyle and promoting mass sports are continuing in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
On this occasion, a sports competition called the "Cooperation Cup" was held among employees of higher education institutions. The competition took place at the Uzbekistan International Islamic Studies Academy.
Its main goal was to encourage employees of higher education institutions to engage regularly in sports and to pay attention to a healthy lifestyle. Employees from the Uzbekistan International Islamic Studies Academy, Tashkent State University of Law, Tashkent State University of Economics, Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, and the Uzbekistan State Institute of Arts and Culture participated in the competition.
The event was organized within the framework of the "Urgent 90 Days" project and included competitions in football, volleyball, table tennis, chess-draughts, and cybersports. The opening ceremony featured the national anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Then, the rector of the Uzbekistan International Islamic Studies Academy, Muzaffar Kamilov, addressed the participants and wished them success. Additionally, great attention was paid to cooperation in the field of sports during the competition.
Agreements on cooperation were signed with the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the National Olympic Committee, the National Paralympic Committee, the Student Sports Association, the National Association of Healthy Lifestyles and Fitness, and the State Choreography Academy. The competitions were held in a friendly atmosphere based on healthy competition.
In the football competition, third place went to the team from the Uzbekistan International Islamic Studies Academy, second place to Tashkent State University of Law, and the victory was awarded to the team from Tashkent State University of Economics.
In volleyball, the victory was claimed by the team from the Uzbekistan International Islamic Studies Academy. Overall, the competitions were held with great interest and high spirits.
