The system for preventing crimes in neighborhoods will be strengthened

In accordance with the decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the concept of "Targeted measures to prevent crimes in neighborhoods with a complex criminogenic situation" has been approved to further improve the system for early prevention of crime in neighborhoods. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The main task of this concept is to stabilize the criminogenic situation in neighborhoods and create a safe environment by coordinating organizational and preventive measures as well as scientific and practical approaches. According to the concept, by the end of 2025, the service offices of the heads of district or city internal affairs bodies and prosecutors will be directly established in the neighborhoods.

They will begin and end their daily work activities at these locations. Additionally, law enforcement centers will be gradually established in the neighborhoods.

At social prevention facilities, especially for individuals involved in family disputes and offenses, a procedure will be introduced to receive updates at least every three days. Furthermore, to prevent crime, public groups called "neighborhood promoters" will be organized by the "mahalla seven" to conduct propaganda and outreach among citizens.

“Distress” buttons are planned to be installed in public places in neighborhoods and in front of multi-story buildings. These measures are aimed at enhancing neighborhood safety.
