A new airport construction in Arnasoy district of Jizzakh region has been completed and commissioned. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This was reported by AvroRJ's SKY. The opening of the new airport is considered important for expanding aviation infrastructure in the region and increasing tourism potential.
In Uzbekistan, regional aircraft routes, including those based on L-410 and ATR-72 types, are actively developing new airports. Following the airports of Zomin, Kokand, and Sariosiyo, the Arnasoy airport as the latest project will provide convenience to residents and tourists.
The airport is located on the shore of Aydarkul lake. This lake was formed in the mid-20th century and has a unique natural ecosystem.
Today, Aydarkul attracts many tourists for recreation, fishing, and enjoying national natural landscapes. The new airport will significantly increase the number of tourists visiting this area.
The airport's runway is 1700 meters long and 30 meters wide, located on course 12/30. Additionally, there are two special parking spots for ATR and L-410 aircraft.
The terminal buildings are constructed based on modern requirements. The new runway was first tested by the CASA C295W military transport aircraft.
This airport will not only develop regional aviation but also serve as a transport hub for a future resort complex. This will help provide Arnasoy with stable transport and recreational opportunities not only for tourists but also for the local population.
The commissioning of the airport allows Jizzakh region to become one of the country's most interesting tourist areas and fully realize the tourism potential in this region. At the same time, this project plays an important role in developing the local economy and infrastructure.
