Sugar production sharply decreased in 2025

The volume of sugar production in Uzbekistan for the first half of 2025 has been determined. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to official data from the National Statistics Committee, a total of 165.5 thousand tons of sugar were produced in the country from January to June. This figure is an important result for agriculture and the sugar industry.

For comparison, sugar production in the first half of 2023 amounted to 332.6 thousand tons, while in 2024 this figure decreased to 227.8 thousand tons. In 2025, production further declined to 165.5 thousand tons.
