According to the Tourism Committee, by the end of 2025, approximately three million foreign tourists are expected to visit the city. Each tourist spends an average of 320 dollars.
Currently, the average duration of travel is 3.5 days, an increase compared to last year when it was 2.6 days in 2024. The countries with the most visitors include Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Italy, and Germany.
The development of tourism positively impacts the city's economy and service sectors. Domestic tourism is also growing rapidly; by the end of this year, 7.5 million Uzbek citizens are expected to visit Samarkand, compared to 5 million in 2024.
