According to the press service of the Tashkent city administration, control is being strengthened at special trade fairs organized in the capital to supply products to the population at affordable prices. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
At the initiative of the administration and the prosecutor's department, fairs with discounted products were established in major markets. Recently, reports have spread on social networks that some sellers are trading at prices different from the officially announced ones, which caused public dissatisfaction.
Therefore, to ensure transparency and prevent artificial price increases, surveillance cameras have been installed at stalls selling cheap products. So far, camera installation work has been completed at the Mirobod farmers' market and the "Eski Juva" (Chorsu) market.
This process will continue step by step, and in the near future, full camera surveillance will be implemented at all major markets' cheap fairs in the capital. Through these measures, strict price control will be established, transparency in trade will be ensured, and affordable products intended for the population will be sold at the set prices (source: zamin.uz).
