Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced that he will make practical visits to a number of important countries at the end of the year. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the President, Uzbekistan is included among the countries to be visited during these trips. This information was announced on September 8 in Tokayev's address to the nation.
In his speech, Tokayev said that he will participate in the anniversary session of the UN General Assembly held in New York during the year. It is planned that he will present Kazakhstan's position on international relations there.
The President emphasized that the role and influence of the UN in global issues remain significant. Tokayev also stated that he will travel to Russia and Uzbekistan at the end of the year.
In Astana, preparations are underway to hold meetings with the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Turkmenistan. In addition, meetings with several other countries from Asia and Europe are planned.
The head of state highlighted that dialogue between Kazakhstan and the USA is becoming increasingly active, as well as the expanding scope of cooperation with the European Union. Tokayev recalled the 80th anniversary of the UN, describing it as the main institutional expression of the outcomes of World War II.
For this reason, the issue of reforming the organization is seen as an urgent task. The President announced that he will deliver a speech at the upcoming anniversary session in New York, where he will present Kazakhstan's views on the international situation and proposals for UN reform.
According to experts, Tokayev's visits may stimulate further development of political cooperation and international dialogue in the region (Zamin.uz).
