
From January to July 2025, a total of 10.7 thousand foreign students came to Uzbekistan for education. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Compared to the same period in 2024, this number increased by 2 thousand or 22.4 percent. According to the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics, this growth indicates the rising interest of foreign students in Uzbek educational institutions.
The largest number of students came from Turkmenistan, totaling 3,197. From India, 2,846 students, and from Tajikistan, 1,246 students arrived for education.
There are 532 students from China, 428 from South Korea, 377 from Pakistan, and 286 from the Kyrgyz Republic studying in Uzbekistan. Additionally, 254 students from the USA, 193 from Afghanistan, and 181 from Turkey are receiving education.
The number of students from other countries amounts to 1,161. These data show that Uzbekistan's education system is increasingly gaining international recognition.
