Lawyer and journalist Khushnud Khudoyberdiyev responded to reports circulating on social media. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
These reports stated that on October 1 — Teacher and Educators Day, each school staff member would receive a reward of 953 thousand soms. However, according to Khudoyberdiyev, this information has been partially misinterpreted.
According to him, an important clause in the Presidential decree was misunderstood, and the stated amount does not mean that all staff will receive an equal sum. Based on Presidential Decree No. PF–51 dated March 19, 2025, changes were made to the procedure for using the director's fund of general education institutions.
According to the new rules, the amount of rewards for staff on the occasion of the October 1 holiday can be up to 75 percent of the minimum wage. Previously, this figure was 50 percent.
It should be emphasized that 75 percent is the maximum limit, and the amount of rewards for each institution and staff member varies depending on the financial capabilities and fund status of the director's fund. In some places, 75 percent may be given, in others 60 or 50 percent.
Additionally, the reward on the occasion of the holiday is given not only to teachers but to all staff, including management and technical service personnel. According to Khudoyberdiyev, the more salary, bonuses, and rewards teachers receive, the better.
However, it is necessary to correctly understand the current legal procedure. Therefore, if someone receives a smaller reward, it should not be considered a misinterpretation or misunderstanding.
In conclusion, 953 thousand soms is the maximum amount of the reward, and it may vary for each school and staff member (source: zamin.uz).
