Bus routes in Tashkent will be expanded

The Tashkent City Transport Department has officially responded to public questions regarding the expansion of bus routes in the capital to the surrounding areas. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

Within the framework of implementing the Head of State's directive to continuously connect all districts and cities of Tashkent region with the capital, a number of practical measures are being carried out. In this regard, projects are being developed for newly reorganized routes, including those covering the agglomeration area.

Once the documents for these routes are approved, an open electronic tender will be announced in accordance with the established procedure. A special contract will be signed with the tender winner, and passenger transportation services will be organized.

Additionally, to prevent an increase in bus waiting times when routes are extended, additional vehicles are planned to be allocated. This will ensure the stability and efficiency of the transport service.

Currently, work is steadily ongoing to resolve technical and organizational issues, ensure traffic safety, and develop road infrastructure. Special engineering and project teams are working on transport logistics at every point of the agglomeration.

Efforts to form a unified and integrated transport system within the capital agglomeration and to gradually implement it in practice have intensified. This system will provide convenient and safe transport services not only for the city center but also for residents living in the surrounding districts.
