Extensive inspections conducted across kindergartens in Uzbekistan have revealed serious issues. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
During raids carried out in cooperation with health and law enforcement agencies, the quality of food provided to children, compliance with sanitation rules, and overall conditions were thoroughly examined. According to statistics, inspections have been conducted in 3,554 kindergartens since the beginning of the year.
In this process, the composition of foods, product quality, and adherence to hygiene rules were carefully checked. As a result, more than 9,500 kilograms of spoiled or unfit products were identified and discarded.
Additionally, out of 8,122 prepared food samples, 323 did not meet microbiological standards. This situation poses a significant risk to children's health.
Among drinking water samples, 237 also failed to meet quality criteria. Experts noted numerous deficiencies in food products as well.
For example, out of 4,986 food samples, 878 had nutritional values below the standard. Harmful nitrate traces were found in 257 out of 12,301 vegetables.
In 718 salt samples, iodine levels were found to be insufficient. Out of more than 83,000 products subjected to chemical analysis, 4,110 did not meet standard requirements.
Bacteriological analysis showed that more than 9,000 out of over 88,000 samples did not comply with sanitation standards. The temperature and lighting levels in group rooms were also continuously monitored.
In over 23,000 cases, the temperature was below the standard in 1,658 instances, and in more than 43,000 locations, adequate lighting was not provided in 2,559 cases. Specialists emphasize that such conditions pose a serious threat to children's health.
As a result, fines were imposed on responsible individuals in 3,705 cases by government agencies. The activities of 110 kindergartens were temporarily suspended, and 446 employees who had not undergone medical examinations were dismissed.
These results once again prove the necessity to strengthen control and increase responsibility. Strict adherence to sanitation and hygiene requirements in children's institutions is not only a legal obligation but also an essential condition for raising a healthy generation.
