The granddaughter of Uzbekistan's First President Islam Karimov and blogger Maryam Tillyayeva openly announced that her relationship with her mother Lola Karimova-Tillyayeva has been severed. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
She emphasized that despite five years having passed, there has been no communication between them. Maryam stated this while answering subscribers' questions on her Instagram page on September 15.
According to the blogger, she is the only person among her relatives who has completely cut ties with her mother. Maryam finds her mother's behavior strange.
Although she always tries to appear good to others, sometimes she shows herself as a victimized woman. However, when she comes to her homeland, not entering her own home and acting like a stranger puts Maryam in an incomprehensible situation.
Initially, this situation was hard for her, but over time she was forced to get used to it. She even accepted it with the thought "my mother is such a person."
At the same time, she feels very sorry for her brother and sister. Maryam says that family conflicts have been intensifying over the years and it is unknown when they will reconcile.
In her opinion, her mother appears to be someone who tries hard to gain public attention. Additionally, Maryam added that she feels her mother is engaging in unhealthy competition against her.
She stated that such a situation does not make sense because her mother gave birth to her. "I am half of my mother; how can I be a rival?" said the blogger.
Speaking about her family, she said she does not disclose some events out of respect for her grandmother Tatyana Karimova and other relatives. When one subscriber said that Maryam does not envy her family, she agreed.
According to her, a high position or wealth does not equal family peace and healthy relationships. Maryam Tillyayeva announced that she has decided to continue her life in a different direction.
She said, "Now I will live enjoying my life, doing what I want. I am not responsible for the actions of my close ones.
I am not Mother Teresa; I do not have to save everyone. I will only live my own life and build my family," (source: zamin.uz).
