The situation related to acute respiratory infections (ARI) in Uzbekistan remains steadily under control. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the data from the Sanitary-Epidemiological Committee, the current incidence rate is 36.5 percent lower than the multi-year epidemic norm, indicating the effective functioning of the healthcare system. At the same time, a seasonal increase in ARI cases is observed in Russia and other neighboring countries.
This raises the risk of the infection entering our country through air travel, labor migration, and business trips. The Committee regularly monitors the epidemic situation and conducts virological tests to detect influenza and other respiratory infections.
Currently, 15 specialized virology laboratories operate under the Committee’s supervision. These laboratories play an important role in identifying influenza and similar diseases.
When analyzed by age groups, the highest incidence rate is recorded among children from 0 to 1 year old. The overall epidemiological situation across the Republic remains stable and is kept under constant control by the Sanitary-Epidemiological Committee.
Officials urge the population to adhere to precautionary rules and pay serious attention to seasonal preventive measures. This is a crucial factor in preventing the spread of the infection.
