
Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in New York City on September 20. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
He will participate in the 80th anniversary session of the United Nations General Assembly. The President was ceremoniously welcomed at John F. Kennedy International Airport by the US President's Special Representative for Global Partnerships Paolo Zampolli, Chairwoman of the America-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce Carolyn Lemm, and other prominent figures.
During the visit, Shavkat Mirziyoyev will deliver a speech from the podium of the UN General Assembly's general debates. He is expected to address Uzbekistan's role in international politics, as well as proposals and initiatives on pressing global issues.
Additionally, the President will hold meetings with leaders of several foreign countries, international organizations, and major financial institutions. The discussions will focus on strengthening political relations, expanding trade and economic cooperation, and implementing investment projects.
Furthermore, separate dialogues and roundtable discussions are planned with heads of leading US corporations and companies. The meetings will cover economic reforms underway in Uzbekistan, favorable conditions created for foreign investors, and new joint projects.
