He described the President of Uzbekistan as a long-standing leader and emphasized the country's successes in economic development. Shavkat Mirziyoyev, in turn, acknowledged Trump's efforts for peace and stated that he considers him worthy of the Nobel Prize.
President Mirziyoyev also invited Trump to Samarkand. During the meeting, the parties also discussed cooperation in finding solutions to regional conflicts.
The Uzbek leader noted that all agreed matters with Trump are being implemented and expressed readiness to continue dialogue. Additionally, Donald Trump said he intends to listen to the speech of the President of Uzbekistan soon and is ready to allocate time for a brief question-and-answer session.
At the meeting, the US president also answered questions related to security and justice and provided information about an important upcoming meeting regarding post-war plans in the Gaza region. Trump announced that additional agreements will be signed with Uzbekistan in the future and emphasized the strength of relations between the two countries.
President Mirziyoyev highlighted that the trade volume between the two countries amounted to $19 billion from 2018 to 2024, and that this figure is expected to reach $105 billion from 2025 to 2035. At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to further develop mutual respect and friendly relations.
