
Effective measures were taken against the smuggling of illegal drugs in the territory of Fergana region. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
As a result of rapid operations conducted jointly by the military personnel of the State Security Service's Border Troops and the regional department, a large quantity of potent drugs was discovered and the illegal importation was uncovered in the Polmon neighborhood of Quvasoy city on the Uzbek-Kyrgyz state border. During the inspection, a total of 53,522 "Regapen" tablets and 20,000 "Zardeks" tablets were found in 7 boxes illegally brought from Kyrgyzstan.
The total value of these drugs amounts to 6 billion 19 million 980 thousand soms, which led to the initiation of a criminal case under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code. Currently, law enforcement agencies are continuing work to identify the owners of the drugs and individuals involved in this crime and to take appropriate measures against them.
