The catering sector in Uzbekistan is rapidly developing
The catering sector in Uzbekistan has been developing significantly in recent times. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to data from the National Statistics Committee, the total turnover of catering enterprises in January-August 2024 amounted to approximately 133 trillion soums. As of September 1, 2025, there are 25,840 commercial catering establishments operating in the country.

Among these enterprises are restaurants, cafes, and canteens, whose numbers are increasing with the growth of the population and intensified market competition. The 12.8% increase in turnover compared to the same period this year indicates the sector's stable development.

Although the main catering enterprises are located in the capital and major cities, the number of new restaurants and cafes in the regions is also growing. This ensures qualitative improvements in the service sector.

Every year, new menus and offers of national and international dishes increase, with great attention paid to creating convenience for customers. Experts emphasize that the main reasons for the growth of the catering sector include rising incomes and the development of dining culture.

Nowadays, many families prefer restaurants and cafes on holidays and weekends. Thus, the results of the 8 months demonstrate the important role of the catering sector in the country's economy, and further growth of these indicators is expected in the future (Source: National Statistics Committee).
