In September 2025, the autumn season in Uzbekistan was quite hot and dry. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Although in some regions the amount of precipitation exceeded average indicators, overall drought and high temperatures prevailed. This was stated by the press service of “O‘zgidromet”.
According to meteorologists, the temperature in September remained mostly stable, ranging from 29 to 34 degrees. On the hottest days, temperatures in the southern regions reached 38 to 40 degrees.
Throughout the month, the average temperature was 1.2–2.3 degrees above normal, while in the northern regions it remained close to the norm. In the second half of September, a short period of cooling was observed, with nighttime and morning temperatures around 9–14 degrees, and daytime temperatures not exceeding 23–26 degrees.
In the southern regions, daytime temperatures were between 29 and 31 degrees. Precipitation was very low or absent in most areas.
Only in Karakalpakstan did the amount of precipitation in September exceed the norm by two to three times, and in some districts this figure increased by four to seven times. Winds reached 13–18 meters per second in some northern, southern, and desert areas, while in Ustyurt wind speeds rose to 22 meters per second.
Dust storms were frequently observed. On September 22, a cold front entered the desert areas of Uzbekistan and southern Kazakhstan.
As a result, visibility in Tashkent decreased to 4 kilometers, and dust storms and air pollution were observed for 24 hours. This event once again reminded the population of the importance of paying attention to temperature and weather conditions and adapting accordingly.
