As of October 6, 2025, the level of air pollution in Tashkent city was recorded to be significantly higher than the norm, increasing 15 times. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the IQAir portal, at 09:00 the monitoring station in the capital registered an air pollution index of 380 AQI. This figure is considerably higher than the annual standard set by the World Health Organization (WHO).
According to the Hydrometeorology Service Agency, the amount of fine particles called PM2.5 in the air was 78.9 micrograms per cubic meter, which is twice the permitted 35 micrograms. Since this level of pollution can negatively affect human health, specialists have issued a number of recommendations.
Among these are limiting physical activity outdoors, keeping windows closed, going outside as little as possible, wearing masks when going out, and using air purifying devices at home. Therefore, to protect the health of the capital’s residents, it is essential to strictly follow these recommendations.
Taking precautions when air quality deteriorates is the responsibility of every individual. For additional information, the IQAir portal serves as a source.
