
On October 9, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, arrived in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, on a working visit. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
At Dushanbe International Airport, the head of our state was warmly welcomed by the Prime Minister of Tajikistan, Kohir Rasulzoda, and other high-ranking officials. According to the visit program, President Mirziyoyev will participate in the second summit in the "Central Asia — Russia" format, as well as in the upcoming meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
At these summits, issues of further developing regional cooperation, expanding trade and economic relations, improving transport and logistics corridors, strengthening cooperation in water-energy, industrial cooperation, security, and humanitarian fields will be discussed. Additionally, bilateral and multilateral meetings are planned within the framework of the summit, where new directions of practical cooperation will be considered.
