The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan has adopted a new resolution aimed at encouraging young people to learn foreign languages. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to document No. 632 approved on October 8, 2025, subsidies will be allocated by the state to young people who wish to learn languages. This subsidy will be implemented within the framework of the "2+6" program.
According to the program, young people with a certificate will study at their own expense for the first two months, and the following six months will be subsidized from the Youth Affairs Agency fund. The amount of the subsidy varies depending on the region.
In Tashkent city, this amount is set up to twice the minimum wage, that is, up to 824 thousand soums. In regional centers, subsidies are provided at 1.5 times the minimum wage, i.e., up to 618 thousand soums.
In districts and towns, this indicator amounts to up to one minimum wage, that is, 412 thousand soums. In 2025–2026, up to 20 thousand young people will have the opportunity to receive subsidies.
Additionally, grants of the same amount are planned to be allocated annually for youth until 2031. If the annual limit is reached, applications will be transferred to the following year.
The subsidy is provided only to educational centers registered on the electronic platform and where participation in the educational process is electronically monitored. This measure is being introduced to ensure productivity and strengthen control.
