
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev participated in the second summit in the “Central Asia – Russia” format. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
There, he put forward a number of important initiatives aimed at strengthening strategic partnership, developing economic cooperation, and ensuring regional stability. In particular, he proposed establishing a Coordinating Council at the level of deputy heads of government.
This council will serve to accelerate the implementation of jointly adopted decisions and projects. Additionally, a proposal was made to launch the “Central Asia – Russia Agroexpress” project to increase trade turnover and facilitate the supply of agricultural products.
An initiative was also put forward to create a Transport-Logistics contour to harmonize national programs in the automobile, railway, and aviation sectors. It was proposed to establish an industrial engineering hub in Bukhara city and to make the “Innoprom.
Central Asia” exhibition forum in Tashkent the main industrial and innovation platform of the region. An initiative was also announced to establish a Regional Competence Center for Nuclear Energy in Uzbekistan and to launch a personnel training program at the Moscow State Engineering Physics Institute’s Tashkent branch.
Plans are underway to expand cooperation in the energy sector, including the exploration and processing of hydrocarbons, as well as the introduction of energy-saving and environmentally friendly technologies. It was proposed to create a Regional Expert Council on Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies and to open branches of the “Skolkovo” innovation center.
The idea of forming a “Future Engineers” consortium for young researchers and scientists and organizing a special grant program was also put forward. In the field of culture and art, a proposal was made to hold a festival of the peoples of Central Asia and Russia.
Furthermore, the importance of joint efforts to combat terrorism, extremism, cyber threats, and human trafficking was emphasized. The summit also raised the proposal to hold high-level consultations on Afghanistan.
