Speed on toll roads in Uzbekistan will be increased up to 150 km/h
A new phase is beginning in the field of motor transport in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

It is planned to increase the speed limit on toll roads in the country up to 150 kilometers per hour. This was announced by Hasan Umarov, the chief legal advisor of the Automobile Roads Committee under the Ministry of Transport, during a discussion held at the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis.

Currently, the maximum speed on public roads is limited to 90 kilometers per hour. After the introduction of the new regulation, this figure will be increased up to 150 kilometers per hour on toll roads.

“After the adoption of the new law ‘On Automobile Roads,’ relevant changes will also be made to the Traffic Rules. The procedure for fines and administrative measures will remain unchanged and will continue to apply as before,” said Hasan Umarov.

The toll roads where the new speed standard is introduced will be constructed in accordance with modern safety standards. Roads will be divided into separate lanes for passenger cars and freight transport.

This will help reduce dangerous crossing situations. Additionally, the roads will be designed to ensure uninterrupted movement without traffic lights and intersections.

Each crossing will be implemented through bridges and overpasses of various levels. This will reduce congestion and stabilize traffic flow.

According to experts, these changes will not only increase speed but also improve time efficiency and economic effectiveness. Modern monitoring systems and radars are planned to be installed to ensure traffic safety.

After the introduction of the new system, toll roads in Uzbekistan will not only accelerate internal transport flow but also contribute to the development of international logistics routes (source: zamin.uz).
