
On October 13, 2025, at 09:00, the amount of PM2.5 particles in the air in Tashkent city significantly exceeded the norm. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to data from automatic monitoring stations, the concentration of PM2.5 reached 88.37 micrograms per cubic meter, which is 2.5 times higher than the SaNPiN 0053-23 standard. At the same time, PM10 particles were within the norm, at 281.4 micrograms per cubic meter, and the amount of carbon monoxide emitted by motor vehicles and industrial enterprises was also within safe limits, at 0.49 milligrams per cubic meter.
This was reported by the Upl.uz website. According to data from the international ecological site IQAir, Tashkent ranked fourth in the world for air pollution levels.
The city pollution index was 162 points, which was assessed as harmful to health. Cities ranked above Tashkent included Delhi (India), Lahore (Pakistan), and Baghdad (Iraq).
Experts believe that this year the air quality in Tashkent deteriorated before the start of the cold season. In previous years, such a situation was usually observed at the end of the autumn season.
