An unexpected situation occurred at the district (city) stage of the Mathematics Olympiad. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Reports appeared on social networks that the Olympiad questions had leaked before the competition started. This incident was widely discussed among the public, according to the Specialized Education Institutions Agency.
According to information, the questions were prepared by the Science Olympiads Center with the participation of special working groups and were centrally printed in each region. However, in some regions, responsible persons violated the procedure during the printing process, and the materials were illegally leaked outside.
In the agency's official statement, it was said that some employees took samples of the questions and distributed them via social networks or messengers. Since this situation could negatively affect the test results, it was decided to retake the district (city) stage of the Mathematics Olympiad for all grades — 9th, 10th, and 11th grades.
Currently, the persons responsible for the violation are being identified and will be held accountable under the current legislation. The Science Olympiads Center advocates ensuring transparency and fairness in all stages of the process.
Additional information will be announced by the agency through the One.uz website.
