The head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Saida Mirziyoyeva, participated in a roundtable discussion titled “New Uzbekistan – a large country with great opportunities” in London during her official visit to the United Kingdom. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The event was attended by representatives of major British business and financial circles. In her speech, Mirziyoyeva spoke about the extensive reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan, the favorable business environment created for investors, and the country’s economic potential.
She emphasized that in recent years, Uzbekistan has become an attractive destination for business not only regionally but also internationally. Saida Mirziyoyeva noted that currently more than 270 British companies operate in Uzbekistan, and their number is increasing annually.
This is a clear expression of confidence in the country’s economy. The growing interest of British partners in the Uzbek market brings beneficial results for both countries.
Therefore, further development of bilateral economic relations and implementation of new projects are of great importance. Mirziyoyeva highly appreciated the open dialogue with the British business community on her Telegram channel and stressed that the expansion of their participation in the economy will form a basis for even more reliable cooperation in the future.
During the visit, she held meetings with Odile Renaud-Basso, President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and Baroness Arielle Mallard de Rothschild. The discussions focused on cooperation in finance, investment, and private sector development.
Baroness Rothschild and the EBRD President highly valued the economic openness in Uzbekistan and the favorable conditions created for investors. They emphasized that the stability and pace of development in the country are generating great interest among British businesses.
Thus, Saida Mirziyoyeva’s visit to London further strengthened Uzbekistan’s position in the international economic arena. The roundtable and meetings once again confirmed that the idea of “New Uzbekistan” is not only about internal reforms but also an important step towards ensuring reliable cooperation with the global business community (source: zamin.uz).
